富味鄉承認販售摻有棉籽油的調和油品並被罰款八百萬元
Flavor Full admits selling adulterated oil, fined NT$8m
(CNA, Oct. 25, 2013) —Flavor Full Food, a major sesame oil producer in Taiwan, has confessed to having adulterated 24 of its products sold on the domestic market with cheaper cottonseed oil, health officials said Thursday.
衛福部官員於本週四表示，台灣主要的芝麻油品廠商富味鄉食品公司，經已坦承不諱在其銷售於國內的24種商品中摻雜了便宜的棉籽油。
The company also admitted to adding flavoring to one of its peanut oil products, according to the officials from New Taipei's Public Health Department. In total, the company has been fined NT$8 million (US$272,250) for 25 violations, they said. Flavor Full is the only importer of crude cottonseed oil in Taiwan besides Chang Chi Foodstuff Factory, which is also mired in the current food scandal.
根據新北市衛生局官員指稱，該公司也承認為其花生油商品添入香料。官員們進一步提到，富味鄉已因為違反25項規定而被開罰新台幣八百萬元，相當於美金廿七萬左右。除了同樣因當前的食安醜聞而身陷泥沼的長基食品廠外，富味鄉就是台灣唯一進口粗製棉籽油的廠商。
Suspicion over Flavor Full products was raised after Chang Chi was found to have refined the imported oil and then blended it with its Tatung-brand edible oil products to save on production costs.
在長基食品廠被人發現提煉進口棉籽油並將其混入為大統代工的食用油產品中，以節省生產成本後，對於富味鄉產品的懷疑也就此產生。
Flavor Full had previously claimed that the cottonseed oil it processed was only for export and that the oil was never used for products destined for domestic consumption. The company, however, later admitted to New Taipei city government investigators Wednesday that it had lied.
富味鄉公司先前還聲稱其加工處理的棉籽油僅用於外銷且此油品從未用於指定內銷的商品中。然而，隨後，同樣是這家公司於本週三向新北市政府調查處坦承之前他們是說謊的。
The city government inspected a Flavor Full warehouse in the city's Wugu district Oct. 21 and sampled 11 products for tests, the results of which are expected in a week's time.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare, meanwhile, has launched an investigation into all 163 edible oil producers in Taiwan. As of Thursday, 138 of them have been inspected, according to Health Minister Chiu Wen-ta.
與此同時，衛福部已經啟動調查全台灣所有共163項的食用油品。至星期四止，根據衛福部長邱文達報告，其中有138項已經完成調查。
